McCoy leads the nation in aces, closing in on single-season record

 
 

Tallulah Falls senior middle hitter and the new all-time aces leader Addy McCoy is officially the nation's leader in aces.

Through a 23-13 start for the #6-ranked Lady Indians, McCoy has 112 aces on the season, which ranks third in TFS history on the single-season list, with lots of matches still to come. Her 127 aces last season is second on the list, and Kitty Rodenas ('22) has the mark at 134.

McCoy recently surpassed the all-time school record in aces, passing Sarah Jennings' ('22) mark of 283. McCoy has 297 and counting to this point. She also has 602 career kills (3rd in school history), 298 digs, and 56 blocks (5th).

At the moment, going into Thursday, McCoy's 112 aces is atop the country by a single ace ahead of another Georgia athlete in Nathalie Tsai (Chamblee). The next closest has 99.
