McEntire's 20-point night guides TFS to win over Rabun Gap

 
 

The MS Lady Indians rode a huge first half to a 41-22 win Thursday evening over rivals Rabun Gap at home. TFS outscored the Eagles 24-9 through the first two quarters to set the tone.

Payton McEntire scored eight points as part of a 13-5 first frame for Tallulah Falls. Nora Mitchell had five in the second, as the Lady Indians held a comfortable 15-point halftime lead.

McEntire scored another eight points in the fourth to help secure the victory. She led the team in scoring with 20 points, while Mitchell and Linda White each had eight. Mia Kerr and Sofia Alderfer had two apiece, and McKenzie McCoy finished with one.

"Great game," says coach Jenny Long. "We played together, worked hard, and made good decisions with the basketball. Loved our defense tonight."

TFS is now 7-7 on the season and 4-3 in Tri-State Conference play. Thursday's game recognized eighth-graders Alderfer, McEntire, White, and cheerleaders Gracie Ingram, ILeigh Johnson, Addy McClellon, Ellie Shaw, and Ca'Rin Swinton.
