MS girls take road win at Towns

The MS Lady Indians took a 2-0 clean sheet win over Towns County on Monday. 

Ida Patterson scored a goal in the eighth minute off an assist by Nora Mitchell. That 1-0 lead held to the break. 

Erin Sweat made it 2-0 later in the match, with Mylah McGugan notching the assist. Keeper Elizabeth Hilton had four saves. 

"We connected passes, communicated, and really moved the ball well," says coach Laura Higbie. "All players had playing time. We had several more opportunities to score but unfortunately just couldn’t finish. However, I am encouraged about the amount of time we spent on the opponent's half of the field. This is a great group of girls and I’m encouraged by their progress."

The girls are now 2-4 on the season.
