Lady Indians earn Area Championship as Higgins is low medalist
The TFS Lady Indians are Area 1-1A Champions after edging Elbert County by 10 strokes on Monday afternoon at Arrowhead State Park in Elberton.
Mallory Higgins was the individual champion, finishing as low medalist with an 85. The team carded a 187 overall.
Raegan Duncan was 4th with a 102, Madeline Martin was 7th (111), and Lily Turpin was 15th (141).
The Area Championship is the first for the girls since 2021, and carries with it a state tournament berth.
