State Playoff Preview (Sweet 16): Girls Soccer

The Lady Indians were forced to take their second-leading scorer in freshman LB Kafsky (14 G, 9 A) and put her between the posts for the first round against Prince Avenue Christian. She rewarded them with a great performance in an intense 2-1 win. Standout senior keeper Kyndal Anderson and TFS (11-4) are hoping to be on the top of their game when hosting the Sweet 16 against Mt. Vernon.

Junior Josie Chesser (3 G, 2 A) had an incredible goal on a free kick, and seniors Jenna Chesser (18 G) and Iva Ristic put several shots on target. Sophomore Bailey Crumley (4 G, 7 A) also had a big goal in the first round. Mt. Vernon is a #5-ranked team, and the Lady Mustangs have a 10-7 overall record. They beat Trion 4-3 in the first round of state.
