State Preview: Track & Field

The GHSA State Championship meet is upon TFS, as several of the Indians and Lady Indians will compete for state titles. Two individuals for the girls qualified (Julianne Shirley in two events, Jace Ibemere in one), and three relay events for the Lady Indians as well. The Indians had three individuals (Sam Ketch and Ade Akisanya in two events apiece, Teagan Penland in one) qualify for state.

Shirley was first at sectionals in the high jump, and 8th in the 400. Ibemere was 5th in the triple jump. The girls 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 relays will all compete at state. Ketch was 2nd in discus and 3rd in shot put, and Akisanya was 7th and 2nd, respectively in the same events. Penland qualified with an 8th-place finish in the 1600.

Tallulah Falls came in 25th last year at state for the boys and 10th for the girls.
