Indians of the Week named for week ending October 31


The Indians of the Week are chosen by coaches, and recognize student-athletes that play sports that are currently in season. This week's Indians of the Week (for the week of October 26-31) include Lucy Alexander and Eli Sims for high school, and Lily Turpin and Jedd Thomas for middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Lucy Alexander - Cross Country

High School Girl

Junior Captain Lucy Alexander moved up from being ranked 12th to place third at the Region 8-A Private cross country championships and to qualify to the state finale. Besides being the clear team leader, Lucy ran a personal record and #2 TFS XC Legacy List 5k time of 21:11.77 by racing smart, patient, and tenacious.

Eli Sims - Cross Country

High School Boy

Senior harrier Eli Sims finished his seven-year XC career with a personal record time at the Region 8-A meet, finishing fifth in the JV race and breaking 21 minutes for the first time. An October, narrowed the focus of determined training prepared Eli to complete his career of seven seasons and hundreds of miles with significant memories of discipline, life lessons, and earned the satisfaction of personal investment.

Lily Turpin - Swim

Middle School Girl

Lily Turpin is a returning team member and first-year swimmer. Lily had a great first meet, swimming to the 5th fastest 50 free time on the middle school girl's team. Lily consistently maintains a positive attitude with her teammates and during practices. We look forward to watching Lily grow in her swimming career.

Jedd Thomas - Swim

Middle School Boy

Jedd Thomas is a returning swimmer who had a phenomenal first meet. Jedd dropped time in both of his races, dropping 13 seconds in his 100 yard IM and 5 seconds in his 50-yard breaststroke. Jedd also demonstrates a positive attitude in practice and at meets.
