Indians of the Week for week ending May 8

The Indians of the Week are chosen by coaches, and recognize student-athletes that play sports that are currently in season. This week's Indians of the Week (for the week of May 2-8) include Hannah Lundy and Walker Bailey for high school. PAST INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Hannah Lundy - Golf

High School Girl

Hannah Lundy has worked hard this season and has kept a great attitude while continuing to improve each week. Her hard work and diligence in practices have rewarded her with steady improvements in each tournament match this season. She is a joy to coach and a great teammate!
-coach Allen Campbell

Walker Bailey - Track & Field

High School Boy

Walker Bailey holds the 800m sophomore class record; he qualified to State in the double oval race and with the 4x800m relay team. Walker also qualified for the Sectional meet but chose not to run it so he could focus on the other events. He has logged over 1000+ miles since last spring, dashed countless intervals, run additional days and workouts, and funded a broad foundation of fortitude - with no guarantees - to prepare for individual and team success. His talents are varied, his tenacity quickly developing, and his confidence growing exponentially.
