Haygen James - Basketball

Haygen James is averaging 13.5 points in our last 4 games and dropped 24 points in the bucket this past Friday against Stephens County while shooting 58.3% field, and 57% from beyond the arch! Along with her tough offensive play, she added 8 rebounds. -coach Lowell Hamilton

Mitchell McGahee - Precision Rifle

Mitchell shot in his first match and set a PR of 272 which was much higher than the State Runner-up’s first-year athletes. Mitchell as our only first-year shooter, has been working extremely hard to try and catch his teammates. In that difficult endeavor, he has succeeded in far surpassing his peers. -coach Tim Stamey

Ida Patterson - Swimming

Ida Patterson is swimming for TFS for a second year after joining the TFS family last year. She has been a huge asset to our ladies team. On Friday at the Jingle Jam swim meet, Ida raced to two first place finishes in the 50 butterfly and 50 backstroke. She also had a personal best time in the 50 back. She also helped lead her team to an overall second place finish on the night. Ida is a great team leader. She works hard in practice and often comes extra to morning swims. We're excited to see what the remainder of the season holds for Ida! -coach Tamara Griffis

Thatcher Tatum - Swimming

Thatcher Tatum is a third year TFS swimmer. This past Friday night at the Jingle Jam meet in Habersham, Thatcher had two personal bests in the 50 free and 50 breaststroke. He swam a 29.81- 50 free which is his first time going sub 30 seconds. This is a huge goal and milestone for most swimmers. Thatcher also had two personal best times in both events.  Thatcher works hard at practice and he's had some great races to show for it.  He helped lead his middle school boy's team to a second place finish overall. -coach Tamara Griffis
