Indians of the Week: February 5-10

TFS has named the Indians of the Week for the week of February 5-10. This week's selection are Madison Dampier and David Vasic for high school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Madison Dampier - Swimming

Madison has a knack for shining big on the brightest stage. The junior swam in two individual events at the GHSA State Championship, winning both the 100 Fly and 200 Free in school-record times. She defended her state title in the 100 Fly, and then became the school's second-ever 3-time state champ after winning the 200. She was an integral part of the girls 200 Medley Relay, which finished 4th, 200 Free Relay (5th), and 400 Free Relay (9th). Congrats to Madison on a historic meet! -coach Tamara Griffis

David Vasic - Tennis

David Vasic had to sit and wait all last year because he was not eligible for varsity. Although he faced some tough competition this week and last, he has improved every day and performed very well for it being his first four matches as a varsity player, especially after he was brand new to tennis just last year. We are grateful for his positive attitude and his willingness to work hard and listen to coaching. -coach Anthony Cox
