Indians of the Week named for week ending October 24

The Indians of the Week are chosen by coaches, and recognize student-athletes that play sports that are currently in season. This week's Indians of the Week (for the week of October 19-24) include Sarah Jennings and Collin Kelly for high school, and Haygen James and Jason Bard for middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Sarah Jennings - Volleyball

High School Girl

Our sophomore Sarah Jennings stepped up and played her best volleyball of the year in the most important week of the season as we started the State playoffs. Sarah showed maturity way beyond her age this week. She led the team in hitting percentage, digs, and was second in serve-receive rating. She also showed GREAT effort along with a great attitude in both practices and games. What an exciting future this young lady has in TFS volleyball.

Collin Kelly - Cross Country

High School Boy

Senior Team Captain Collin Kelly has been instrumental in the positive culture and improved performance of the cross country program. A TFS XC "lifer" Collin has been a leader in the numerous traditions, themed meets, and rich culture of teamness, enhanced performance, and leadership. Collin comes through when needed most; it's a testament to the cliches, philosophical quotes, and intrinsic accountability he helps to influence with the team. Collin is a distinct example of GREAT as he sees to serve his cross country team with passion.

Haygen James - Girls Basketball

Middle School Girl

Haygen has stepped into a leadership role that is unfamiliar to her. Her work ethic and attitude is a positive example to her teammates. As an 8th grader with experience, Haygen has taken it upon herself to step up and help teach and prepare her teammates that have never played the game. She continues to show growth not only in her game but in her ability to lead her team.

Jason Bard - Boys Basketball

Middle School Boy

8th grade student-athlete Jason Bard is new to the TFS community and therefore to the basketball program this year. From the first day of tryouts, he has worked extremely hard and had a positive attitude every single day. Because of his work ethic and desire to learn, he is improving every day. Not only that, he encourages his teammates and demonstrates the kind of unselfish play that leads to a successful season. We are excited to see what the season holds for Jason.
