Indians of the Week for week ending December 12

 
 

The Indians of the Week are chosen by coaches, and recognize student-athletes that play sports that are currently in season. This week's Indians of the Week (for the week of December 7-12) include Halle Weyrich and Trevor Bramlett for high school, and Keira Webb and David Plaisted for middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Halle Weyrich - Swimming

High School Girl

Halle Weyrich is a returning swimmer and team captain this season. Halle arrives to practice with a positive attitude, ready to train hard with her teammates. Halle works to provide a positive environment for her teammates at competitions as well as practices. Halle swam two personal best times this past weekend at the Winter Snow Invitational in the 50-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle. Halle scored 34 points for her team on Saturday, helping lead the girl's team to a first-place finish out of 9 teams.

Trevor Bramlett - Swimming

High School Boy

Trevor Bramlett is a first year swimmer who always arrives prepared to train hard at practice and improve. Trevor swam two personal best times this weekend in the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard backstroke. Trevor also scored points for his team, helping to earn a 4th place finish at the competition.

Keira Webb - Swimming

Middle School Girl

Keira Webb is our girl nominee for this past week. Keira is new to swimming this season and has taken to the sport with drive and enthusiasm. Keira consistently takes feedback in practice and uses it to improve her stroke in that moment, a hard thing for many to do. Keira's hard work paid off this past weekend at the Winter Snow Invitational when she dropped 5 seconds in her 50-yard freestyle and 6 seconds in her 50-yard breaststroke. Keira's swims also helped her team to 1st place by scoring 14 points from her swims.

David Plaisted - Swimming

Middle School Boy

David Plaisted is our boy nominee for this past week. David is new to swimming this season. He has worked on improving his stroke technique and endurance while also helping cultivate a positive environment for his teammates. David's hard work paid off this past weekend when he dropped 3 seconds in his 50-yard freestyle and a tenth of a second in his 50-yard backstroke. David also scored 20 points this past weekend, helping his team place 5th at the competition.
