Evette Corwin - Volleyball
HS Girl
Evette Corwin has improved tremendously over the last 15 matches and especially this last week. 3 weeks ago she was challenged to improve in a certain area of her game. Her stats for Serve Receive are now top 2 for the whole team. Evette has taken this challenge to heart. Because of her great improvement, the overall team stats in this area and our team play have improved because of one individual working hard to do what she could to help out her team. -coach Matt Heyl
Walker Bailey - Cross Country
HS Boy
Junior Walker Bailey continued inspiring the team, pacing strategically to place second, passing numerous others in the second half of the race, breaking the 18:00 barrier on one of the most difficult courses in the state, and moving up on the course Legacy List at the 10th Annual Heroes Invite. Walker's improvements are the epitome of what someone can do with focus, ownership of training and preparation, and a persistent drive to get better. Walker is currently ranked fourth in Region 8-A and 30th overall in Class A - Private. -coach Scott Neal
Ryleigh Wilson - Volleyball
MS Girl
The Indian of the Week for Middle School Volleyball is Ryleigh Wilson. Ryleigh has made consistent improvement from preseason and through the post season. A member of both the A and B teams, Ryleigh has shown tremendous development in her ability to serve and produce as an offensive threat at the “Right Side” position. More importantly, her attitude and support of her teammates has followed the same positive trajectory. She was a key contributor to the success of both teams this season and we look forward to seeing her continued development in the Lady Indian Volleyball program! -coach Tim Corbett
Ethan Wheeler - Cross Country
MS Boy
Ethan Wheeler ran his best and smartest race of the season at the Rabun Gap Tri State XC Meet #4. Ethan placed third overall - literally a nose and .10 seconds away from second. While strategizing throughout the race, he stayed close to the leaders while helping to wear down another runner ahead of him until he exploded to the finish line at the end. Ethan listens attentively, focuses on the task at hand, seeks to be a team oriented contributor, and actively pursues to be a positive influence upon his team as well as competitors. -coach Scott Neal
