Honora Kahwach - Soccer

HS Girl

The team was asked to select a player for Indian of the Week, 2/7-12/22, and they have selected senior captain, Honora Kahwach. Here are some thoughts from the teammates who voted for her:

  • she's really shown a lot of effort and really tries to be a good leader and influence on and off the field
  • she led the team very well last week and put in effort the entire time.
  • she worked extremely hard in all of our games and she was a very good leader. She made good decisions and she overall deserves Indian of the Week. She still had composure even when the score was down, and earned us points back from her goals she scored at the half line. She did very well this week.
  • she always goes 100%. She drops all the way back to help the defense and then goes all the way up to help us score a goal. She's very encouraging and anytime I mess up she helps me understand what I did wrong and what to do differently.

Austin Ball - Soccer

HS Boy

Sophomore Captain Austin Ball has had a phenomenal start to the season, both in games and practices. His leadership is on full display everyday and is ensuring that his teammates are focused and improving at every opportunity. This week Austin scored 3 goals and had 1 assist in 2 games. He also helped defensively to ensure that the team kept back to back clean sheets during the week. -coach Jeremy Stille

Lily Gary - Soccer

MS Girl

Middle school soccer player Lily Gary is the youngest and the only 6th grader on the team. Lily has risen to the top with her great attitude, natural soccer sense, and incredible ball skills. To find out Lily has never played club soccer or had any official training was a massive surprise to me. She was an immediate choice to be a starter, and she has not disappointed. She is a dependable, coachable, solid player. Lily has logged 60 full minutes per game at right mid and will be a considerable part of our team's success. She is excellent at supporting the forwards and pushing the ball up top but will undoubtedly score a goal or two herself. I'm looking forward to watching Lily excel this season! -coach Laura Higbie

River Dockins - Soccer

MS Boy

Middle school soccer player River Dockins is the boys' Indian of the Week. His work ethic from day one has been impeccable and most consistent. River is a team player continually supporting his teammates. Most importantly, Rivers' determination and positive attitude are contagious and already making a difference in the entire team's culture. Both in goal and on the field, I look forward to watching Rivers' influence continue to have an impact. -coach Chris Kafsky
