Maddie Mullis - Soccer
HS Girl
For Indian of the Week, March 14-19, the varsity girls soccer team has nominated Maddie Mullis. When asked, her teammates wrote the following about her: "Maddie did great in the game and had two goals; she did so well leading the past couple games; she is always calm under pressure and is consistent in making good passes; her goals from the past game also had good placement and encouraged the team; Maddie is a very kind yet determined person; she gives her all on the field and scores goals without forgetting to work with the other players; and she's overall a great teammate and friend." Congratulations, Maddie, for being selected Indian of the Week by your team. -coach Travis Mullis
Evan Prince - Track & Field
HS Boy
Senior Captain and US Naval Academy signee Evan Prince won the 1600m at the GAC Invite with a school record-setting 4:19.20 performance, currently the #2 time in the state. He also won the 3200m and anchored the sixth-place 4x4 relay team in a personal record split. Evan is the epitome of the program's Be GREAT philosophy, one who sets standards and helps others be their best while demonstrating what can be done when one invests intense energy, focus, and commitment. -coach Scott Neal
Ca'Rin Swinton - Track & Field
MS Girl
Sixth grader Ca'Rin Swinton won the 200m and placed second in both the 100m and long jump in the first meet of the season, a dual at Rabun County. Ca'Rin practices daily with a desire to hone in on what can help her improve. Her calm resolve is respected and appreciated as she learns new events, skills, and strategies. Teammates and coaches are grateful for her positive demeanor and persistence. -coach Scott Neal
Griffin Harkness - Baseball
MS Boy
Griffin has been my most steady pitcher all season. Against Lumpkin County, he pitched a complete game while giving up only one earned run. Griffin has a great attitude and is willing to do anything and play anywhere in order to help the team. -coach Dustin Rogers
