TFS has named the Indian of the Week for the week of March 28-April 2. This week's selections are Kat Williams and Sam Ketch for high school, and Ryleigh Wilson and Drew Barron for middle school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Kat Williams - Soccer

HS Girl

Coach's pick for Indian of the Week: Kat Williams. A senior captain, she has been part of the Indians since her freshman year. Kat has played wherever her TFS team or her country's team (Cayman Islands) has needed her and has been a difference-maker at all times. Kat defends well, provides assists, and scores goals so that her team can win and even set school records. It's been an honor to be Kat's coach these past three seasons, and I look forward to seeing what's ahead for her at the collegiate level. Congratulations to varsity girls soccer's Indian of the Week, Kat Williams. -coach Travis Mullis

Sam Ketch - Track & Field

HS Boy

Sophomore Sam Ketch has quickly improved in the shot put and discus since last season.  Since coming out on March 7 after the basketball season was over, Sam adapted to new footwork and balance, distinct technique, and a highly competitive atmosphere. He set personal records in the shot put and discus for the two meets; his shot put improved over seven and a half feet while the platter has been thrown 18 feet further than last season - and that's only after four weeks of practice! Sam sets goals, concentrates, and challenges himself to become an excellent thrower; presently, he is ranked third in the region and 8th in the state with shot and 7th/18th with the discus. -coach Scott Neal

Ryleigh Wilson - Soccer

MS Girl

Ryleigh Wilson has been a strong, consistent player on the MS soccer team. Ryleigh started in every game this year, and has never missed a practice. She was a 60 min player and stopped many a goal as the sweeper anchor on our back line. Ryleigh’s leadership skills are evident in everything she does, on and off the field. Her great personality, trustworthiness and dependability earned her a Sr. Captain’s band in week #1. Ryleigh’s contributions to the soccer team this year were much appreciated by the players and coaches. -coach Laura Higbie

Drew Barron - Baseball

MS Boy

Drew Barron's quiet demeanor is not a reflection of the hard nose way he plays the game. He has had to fill a lot of roles this season and has done so without complaint. He has the team’s second highest batting average, second lowest ERA and has anchored the left side of our infield with continued improvement and consistency. I expect many good things out of Drew for years to come at TFS. -coach Dustin Rogers
