Indians of the Week: April 17-22

 
 

TFS has named the Indians of the Week for the week of April 17-22. This week's selections are Mallory Higgins and Joseph McGahee for high school, and Linda White and Brody Irvin for middle school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Mallory Higgins - Golf

Mallory Higgins shot a season-low of 88 for 18 holes at the White County Spring Swing tournament on Saturday at Apple Mountain. She has consistently scored lowest for our team this season and helped us secure 7th place out of 19 teams at the tournament. -coach Matt Crotta

Joseph McGahee - Precision Rifle

Joseph McGahee has been a steady and consistent shooter all year. He's worked hard both in and out of the range. That hard work became even more evident when he qualified for and competed in two events at the Junior Olympic Nationals, Air Rifle, and Small Bore. Over the past two weeks, he represented TFS well as he competed shoulder-to-shoulder with the top precision rifle athletes from throughout the US. -coach Katie Keister

Linda White - Track

Seventh grader Linda White is a highly competitive runner whose versatility helps the team in a variety of events. In addition to scoring high in the long jump, she has one of the faster times on the 800m TFS Legacy List and has improved impressively over last season. She puts her heart and focus into everything she does every day, displaying consistency and confidence as a role model of being a GREAT teammate! -coach Scott Neal

Brody Irvin - Track

Seventh grader Brody Irvin practices diligently with intention to improve, competes with focus and vigor, and encourages his teammates with energy and genuineness. Brody is in the top couple in the long jump and 400m in the Tri State Conference and runs on relays to help the team score points. He is a consistent, humble learner with a GREAT attitude! -coach Scott Neal
