Callie Craver - Softball

Sophomore Callie Craver has been impressive in the circle for the Lady Indians JV season. Last week in 2 games she pitched 13 innings, striking out 18 while only walking 7. Callie is a competitor and has allowed us to compete in every game that we have played. Her future is bright and I look forward to watching her continued progress. -coach Jo Kimbrel

Jedd Thomas - Cross Country

Junior Jedd Thomas set his personal 5k record (24:53.75) at the tough TFS Farm Course at the 19th Annual Cookies 'n Quotes XC Festival. Whether in practice or meets, Jedd gives his all, is a GREAT teammate, and seeks to shine a light from the mountains in every aspect of his life. Show up every day, keep moving forward, and be relentless is what Jedd does. He is learning to fortify his mind and body so he can push beyond previous limits, forging new goals with each passing week. -coach Scott Neal

Mia Kerr - Cross Country

Seventh-grader Mia Kerr has been in the top 5-10% of every race so far this season, her first as a harrier. She has placed 4th, 11th, 4th, and 13th in the races and ran the fastest TFS MS female 3k farm course time at the 19th Annual Cookies 'n Quotes XC festival. Tough minded, well balanced, competitive, and a GREAT peer describe Mia. Whether in practice or in races, she is trustworthy to do her best while enjoying every opportunity as a blessing. -coach Scott Neal

Sam Belk - Cross Country

Eighth-grader Sam Belk has been the #1 TFS MS male runner in three of the four races this season and #2 in the other. He's placed in the top 15-30% in all meets, learning valuable pacing strategies along the way.  He's run a 3k PR of 12:23 and is faster than last season. Sam's forte is his strength, and he is learning to use that wisely and at various places on each course. -coach Scott Neal
