Indians of the Week: March 25-30

TFS has named the Indians of the Week for the week of March 25-30. This week's selections are Ryleigh Kate Wilson and Zach Carringer/Jake Owensby for high school, and Maeve Hatcher and Easton Pollock for middle school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Ryleigh Kate Wilson - Soccer

Ryleigh might still be a freshman, but she is mighty. Ryleigh is an incredibly versatile player. She has been thrown in almost every position on the field and has started almost every game this season- which she is more than deserving of. She is a hard worker, she pushes herself to be better, and she is down to earth. I appreciate having a freshman like her on the team this year. I look forward to her leadership as she grows older. -coach Erin Jimenez

Zachary Carringer & Jake Owensby - Tennis

Once they got comfortable in the first doubles position, juniors Zachary Carringer and Jake Owensby won some big matches against tough opponents. This week they clinched the victory against Rabun to secure the undefeated region season for the team and the first-place seed in the tournament. That victory coming against a team that had defeated them previously shows the growth and maturity they have achieved over the last several weeks. -coach Anthony Cox

Maeve Hatcher - Golf

Maeve has played some really good golf recently. She posted scores of Banks County Match (43) / Intrasquad Match (42) which were both low rounds of the year. So far this season she has earned low medalist honors several times. -coach Jadie Hatcher

Easton Pollock - Baseball

Easton held Towns County this week scoreless through two innings while contributing at the plate. This season Easton willingly has played multiple positions while consistently putting the ball in play at the plate. Easton is a GREAT kid who puts his team first and is willing to do whatever it takes to be a part of the team. -coach Kyle Dampier
