Indians of the Week: April 8-13

TFS has named the Indians of the Week for the week of April 8-13. This week's selections are Kyndal Anderson and Jake Wehrstein for the high school, and Handley James and Thatcher Tatum for middle school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK

KYNDAL ANDERSON - SOCCER

We had a rough game last Tuesday and it is never easy to be a goalie on the other side of a 10-0 loss. Kyndal also got injured in that game. That being said, she came out on Friday and had one of the best games she's had all season. She was resilient, and determined and helped her team achieve their region title. -coach Erin Jimenez

JAKE WEHRSTEIN - SOCCER

Jake helped to keep a clean sheet at Providence Christian early in the week and then came up big on senior night, scoring two goals. He organizes the defense and helps push the ball forward to offensively probe the opposing team. -coach Jeremy Stille

Handley James - Golf

While she has been consistent throughout the year, Handley James had her best round of golf for the year at the 2024 MS Golf Championship. -coach Jadie Hatcher

Thatcher Tatum - Soccer

Thatcher Tatum, a regular attacker, epitomized the physical and mental toughness required to play the “beautiful game” this season. Having to manage chronic pain, he did what was necessary to stay in the game within his ability. A smart, skillful player and respectful, he encouraged and helped lead his team even when he didn’t feel the best. I’m very proud to recognize this gladiator, Thatcher! -coach Travis Mullis
