Indians of the Month - April 2021

 
 

Tallulah Falls School has named its Indians of the Month winners for April 2021. The winners are Maggie Jackson and Evan Prince for the high school, and Jace Ibemere and Timothy Beck for the middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE MONTH

Maggie Jackson - Golf

High School Girl

Maggie Jackson led the way with a 37.7 scoring average per 9 holes, 75.4 per 18. She was the Individual Champion at the Vickie Goetze Invitational (led team to the championship), set two new individuals and two new team school records with a low 9-hole (33), a low 18-hole (68), a 9-hole two score team match score (73) and an 18-hole two score team match score (146). She was on the All-tournament team in 3 separate tournaments. She led the girls to the Area Championship and was the Area 2 Champion individually.

Evan Prince - Track & Field

High School Boy

In the month of April, junior Captain Evan Prince broke school records in the 800m, 1600m, 3200m, and 4x8 relay and is Class A Private state ranked fourth in the two and four lappers and third in the longer race and the 3200m relay. He scored 32.5 points at the Area 6 A-Private meet to tie with teammate Grey Bourlet as the High Point Award recipient en route to the first track & field championship in TFS history. Evan has always given his best effort, never given up one inch, never slowed down before a finish line or even finishing a practice interval. He filters both the external team goals as well as intrinsic motivation while encouraging teammates to be significant and necessary.

Jace Ibemere - Track & Field

Middle School Girl

Eighth grader Jace Ibemere went undefeated in the long jump, triple jump, 100m, and both sprint relays in the month of April and led the team to victory at the Tri State Track & Field Championship. Her 28' 7 1/2 best in the hop, bound, and jump event would have placed her 7th in the varsity Area 6 meet and is also the #16 best jump in the state for MS girls. Humble to the core as well as a focused worker in the weight room, Jace understands that preparation is key, confidence is critical, and people matter. She is significant and necessary to the team's culture and success.

Timothy Beck - Track & Field

Middle School Boy

Timothy Beck came back from a significant leg injury last year to begin his quest to a successful running career. He runs on his own, on his own time, with discipline and initiative in addition to normal practices. Timothy placed third (1600m) and second (800m) and first (4x4 relay) at both Tri State T&F meets in April. A significant demonstrator of GREAT, he is well known for being positive with others, dedicated in his approach to anything he endeavors, and someone who follows through with his commitments.
