TFS Varsity Boys Basketball finishes 2016 undefeated

School spirit is high at Tallulah Falls School with the TFS Varsity Boys Basketball team undefeated at year-end.

According to coach Jim Van Hooser, the team completed the 2016 part of the season with its second win over White County High School by a score of 74-61 on New Year's Eve.

“This run of victories brings the record on the season to a perfect 13-0 and 5-0 in Region 8-A,” Van Hooser said. “Senior Trey Wilcox of Tallulah Falls led the Indians in scoring on this night with 26 points followed by seniors Josey Keene of Demorest and Michael Van Hooser of Demorest with 14 and 11 points, respectively. The senior led team has dominated the opposition in the 13 games winning all but two by more than 10 points. This balanced attack on offense has seven different players scoring in double figures for the season (Keene, Weidner, Wilcox, Michael Van Hooser of Demorest, Zatrick Pearce of Decatur and Sanson Navarre of Demorest).”

The Indians are currently ranked as the 9th best team in the state in polls, Van Hooser added.
