Chris also secured a spot as the alternate on the boys ‘A’ relay team which is going to state.”

Dan Griswold

Sixth grader Dan Griswold of Demorest was selected as an Indian of the Week by middle school basketball ‘B’ coach Paul Sweeney. “Dan is a tremendous role player for our ‘B’ team,” Sweeney said. “He is flexible and receptive to whatever role I ask him to play. His personality lifts the rest of the team up.”

Christy Hulsey

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL

Sixth grader Christy Hulsey of Cornelia was named an Indian of the Week by swim coach Annette Cochran. “Christy is a new middle school swimmer who has adapted to the water like a fish,” Cochran said. “She is always working hard to learn and develop her strokes. This past week, Christy dropped six seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and 10 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle. We are expecting great things from her in the years to come.”
