TFS coaches name Indians of the Week

Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected their Indian athletes of the week for November 13-18.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY

Sixth-grader Henry Rickman of Tiger was selected as an Indian of the Week by middle school swim coach Susan Nichols. “Henry is new to TFS swimming but has developed all four strokes,” Nichols said. “He has worked hard to earn a spot on the ‘A’ relay team. Henry is a dedicated swimmer who is eager to learn.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL

Eighth-grader Lady Nasah of Buford was named an Indian of the Week by middle school basketball coach Rick Hammock. “Lady exhibits a wonderful, humble attitude,” Hammock said. “She is coach-able, hard-working and a great teammate.”

VARSITY GIRL

Senior Morgan Alexander of Clarkesville was selected as the Indian of the Week/Helmet Award recipient by varsity girls basketball coach Tom Tilley. “Morgan has an impeccable work ethic,” Tilley said. “With grit, intensity and persistence she has worked her way to become our starting center. Her tough defense and rebounding led to a victory over Mt. Pisgah.”

JUNIOR VARSITY BOY

Sophomore Paul Chambers of Cleveland was named an Indian of the Week by junior varsity basketball coach Matt Heyl. “Paul has been an instrumental leader on our team,” Heyl said. He sees a need and meets that need. Paul does all the little things that need to be done at the conclusion of a practice and encourages players to keep giving their all when fatigue sets in. He helps to make sure that drills are set up quickly and in an orderly manner and he was our ‘go-to’ man and leading scorer in our most recent game against Mt. Pisgah.”
