Season Preview: JV Basketball
The JV basketball season nears the opening tip, and for Tallulah Falls, both the boys and girls teams consist of young and inexperienced players at the high school level. The girls and boys teams feature several players on the cusp of varsity.
The Indians went 10-3 last season under coach Matt Crotta. He again leads TFS entering 2022-23, and has a group that brings back a few players in Wyatt Franks, KC Respress, and Teryk Tilley who were on the roster a year ago. Respress and Tilley are also on the varsity squad, so they will shuttle back and forth.
The roster includes five freshmen, six sophomores, and three juniors altogether. The Indians will open their season on Saturday, November 12 at home against Mt. Paran.
Meanwhile, the Lady Indians are coming off a season in which games were in short supply. TFS got in six games total, going 2-4 in those contests. Coach Jo Kimbrel returns to head up the Lady Indians squad.
The roster is all-new from last year, and includes three juniors, two sophomores, and three freshmen. The girls also open up against Mt. Paran.
