Varsity, JV basketball teams fall short at Oglethorpe

 
 

It was a tough day on the court for TFS basketball on Saturday, as both varsity and JV teams lost at Oglethorpe County. 

The Lady Indians lost 47-43 in a game that wasn't decided until the final minutes. Haygen James had 16 points, Molly Mitchell 14, Allie Phasavang seven, Adrijana Albijanic four, and Breelyn Wood two. The defense played well, recording nearly 20 steals. TFS is 6-9 this season.

The Indians meanwhile lost 48-39 in a game where Zakhar Valasiuk led with 11 points. Sam Ketch had six points and a great rebounding night, while Neyo Bain finished with eight points. TFS is 4-15.

The JV girls lost 41-25, with Marian Nino chipping in with 12 points. LB Kafsky had eight, Gracey Eller and Joanna Molodynska two apiece, and one for Carla Guil. The JV girls are now 6-2.

The JV boys also dropped a 45-29 game. Jovan Pavlicic led with 12 points, while Ivo Dorkovic had seven, Todor Stanimirovic four, and Marquis Rolle and Armando Landecho Cedeno three each. The boys are 6-4 this year.
