MS Lady Indians shock Towns to advance to Tri-State title game

 
 

The MS Lady Indians pulled off a 33-28 monumental win over Towns County on Wednesday on the road, advancing to play in the Tri-State Championship.

"Great team play," exclaims coach Jenny Long. "Every girl left it out on the court. They played with no regrets."

A 9-6 first quarter favored TFS, and the lead stretched to 21-12 at the half.

Nora Mitchell led in scoring with 15 points, while Payton McEntire had 13. Handley James and Mia Kerr had two points apiece, and Linda White had one.

"They played amazing," adds Long. "First time in three years we beat Towns."

The Lady Indians, now 11-7 overall, will take on Summit Charter Saturday in the Tri-State Championship game.
