Rifle clinches Area Championship with second win over Lumpkin County

TFS Precision Rifle took down Lumpkin County, the reigning Area Champion and State Runner-Up, for a second time this season, earning a 1149-1138 victory at home Thursday evening. The win clinches the Area 6 Rifle Championship for Tallulah Falls, which will now host the GHSA Sectional and Final. 

Senior Brianna Walter fired a 292, with fellow senior Joseph McGahee recording a 289. Juniors Chloe Erwin and Leah Rogers finished with a 285 and 283, respectively. Senior Marc Crotta competed as well with a 279.

The team is now a perfect 11-0, tying the single-season wins record. TFS will close the regular season on February 8 at home for Senior Night against Buford.
