Lady Indians grab historic win over #4 Commerce

For the first time, Tallulah Falls beat Commerce, taking a 5-3 road win to open region play against the #4-ranked Tigers.

Jenna Chesser notched a hat trick in the first half, leading TFS to a 3-2 lead going into the break. It was a spectacular comeback after trailing 2-0.

"The entire team connected passes and they put one in the back to give us momentum," exclaims coach Erin Jimenez.

Kyndal Anderson recorded 14 saves that kept the lead intact. LB Kafsky and Maddie LeBlanc scored, with the latter's coming on a long free kick that snuck in under the bar.

"These girls worked incredibly hard tonight, coming back from a 2-0 loss and overcame all the negativity and the past losses," adds Jimenez. "These girls are an incredible team."

The win is the first over a ranked opponent in team history. More importantly, the Lady Indians are 1-0 in region play and 2-2 overall. Chesser's hat trick was the first of her career.
