Lady Indians win big in scrimmage over Towns

The Tallulah Falls School girls varsity basketball teams opened the 2020-21 season with a Tuesday home scrimmage against Towns County, cruising to a 49-14 win.

TFS led from the start, and held a 28-6 lead at the break. That lead ballooned to 40-12 heading into the final quarter. Though the first few minutes of the game saw neither team score, TFS finally got going and never relinquished.

Denika Lightbourne led all scorers with 12 points, while Veronaye Charlton added 10. Katy Corbett had 6 points, coming off back-to-back 3-pointers. Lightbourne scored the first 7 points of the third for TFS. Kailyn Neal added 6 points, both coming off 3-pointers, as 10 different Lady Indians scored points.
