Indians of the Month - February 2021

Tallulah Falls School has named its Indians of the Month winners for February 2021. The winners are Fendi JeanLouis and Cainan Yaskiewicz for the high school, and Josie Plaisted and Kalvin Ngov for the middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE MONTH

Fendi JeanLouis - Soccer

High School Girl

As one of the senior captains, Fendi JeanLouis has displayed significant fortitude this season on a personal level and as a leader on the Varsity Girls Soccer Team. Having played the game since she was very young, and with the shoes of her father to fill, Fendi has brought a refreshing appreciation for soccer and for her teammates. When sharing thoughts with everyone before or after training, she always offers words that are realistic and uplifting. As a boarding student, Fendi has helped build a bridge between her teammates that live on campus with those who travel to TFS on a daily basis. I gladly submit Fendi JeanLouis as the nominee for Varsity Girls Soccer Indian of the Month.

Cainan Yaskiewicz - Soccer

High School Boy

While playing both soccer and baseball, Cainan Yaskiewicz has pushed himself to be better everyday. He shows up early to practices, works hard, pushes his teammates to become better, and is always looking to improve himself. While juggling two sports, he is also staying strong academically and continues to be involved in multiple clubs. His devotion to his academics, peers, school, and himself is unrivaled.

Josie Plaisted - Soccer

Middle School Girl

Josie is a starting forward on the girls middle school soccer team. She is constantly offering up a great attitude at training, practices and team meetings. Although Josie is small in stature, she creates a powerful drive on the field. Her ball skills are second-to-none and her toughness shows through every time she battles for the ball. She can play the full 50 minutes and never gives up, even when she is outsized. She is a definite crowd favorite and draws praise from both teams for her fearless play. The team is fortunate to have her and we look forward to seeing her score all season long!

Kalvin Ngov - Golf

Middle School Boy

Newcomer seventh-grader Kalvn Ngov is our February IOM. Kalvin worked hard during the off-season to develop fundamental golf skills. Kalvin embodies what it means to be a TFS athlete; he is kind and respectful to all, coachable, and has a GREAT work ethic. Kalvin is the most focused player on the team, and has an excellent short game. I am proud of the hard work Kalvin continues to put into the sport, I look forward to seeing what the future holds for him.
