#4 Tallulah Falls stretches win streak to nine with senior night victories

The Lady Indians, playing for the first time in over two weeks, notched wins at home over Elbert County and Barrow Arts & Sciences Academy on senior night. The straight-set wins carried the win streak to nine for #4-ranked Tallulah Falls, who still is unbeaten in area play.

Against Elbert County, TFS faced little resistance, taking the first set 25-14 and the second 25-6. Katarina Foskey had several kills, as did Ashlyn Yaskiewicz and Addy McCoy. McCoy, who recently became the school's all-time leader in aces and led the nation in that category, did well at the service line. She notched an ace to close out the match win over Elbert.

Taking on BASA, Tallulah won the opening set 25-11, as Foskey and McCoy had early kills as part of an 8-3 run that prompted a timeout by the visitors. Skylyn Yaskiewicz had a big kill later, and Kate Gary and Chesney Tanksley made several stellar plays defensively. In the clinching set, a 25-20 win for TFS, BASA led early and often. They took a quick 2-0 lead, and the Lady Indians had to rally back several times, led yb kills from McCoy to tie the match at 13 apiece. Eventually, Barrow took an 18-13 lead before TFS had its final stretch to take the match. McCoy had a kill and ace in the final minutes.

The eight seniors for Tallulah Falls were recognized between matches: Foskey, Claire Kelly, McCoy, Iva Ristic, Julianne Shirley, Ashlyn Yaskiewicz, Skylyn Yaskiewicz, and manager Emilee Jones.

The Lady Indians are now 25-13 overall and 10-0 within Area 8-A.
