Lady Indians' win streak snapped in tune-up against Morgan County

The Lady Indians had their school-record 13-match win streak snapped on Thursday at home in a best-of-three against Morgan County. #4-ranked TFS fell 3-0 against the reigning Class 3A State Champions, who came in ranked #6 in their classification. Tallulah Falls dropped the first set 25-14, but rebounded to play close in a 20-25 second set and 21-25 third set.

"It was a great chance to see where we are going into state," says coach Matt Heyl. "Everything was a little off, but we still hung with them. We struggled with serve receive and defensive reading. But for the most part we played with grit and when we got a good pass we had great offense. Definitely a few things we need to tweak."

The Lady Indians are now 29-14 on the season heading into the opening round of the state tournament, which is slated to begin on Wednesday against Aquinas.
