Rifle team sets school record in fourth straight win

It was another historic match for the TFS Precision Rifle team, who fired past visiting North Gwinnett 1160-1137 Wednesday at home. The win marked a fourth consecutive for Tallulah Falls, and the team score was five points better than the previous program record.

Brianna Walter led with a 296, while Chloe Erwin (289), Joseph McGahee (289), Marc Crotta (286), and Leah Rogers (284) performed well.

"This program after only six years is now shooting team scores that I consider elite," says assistant coach Tim Stamey. "Every athlete on this team has the attention of college coaches. This group of wonderful athletes have meshed into something beautiful to behold. They are so caring of each other and the team 24/7."

The rifle team will continue its season on November 30 at Lumpkin County in what promises to be a great match, as Lumpkin was the Area Champion each of the past two years with TFS taking Runner-Up honors. The team is now 4-0 on the season.
