Three score in double figures in loss to Rabun

The Lady Indians lost a 74-52 region matchup with #3-ranked Rabun County on Tuesday evening at home.

After holding with 21-12 after one, TFS saw the deficit grow to 39-20 by halftime. In the second half, the Lady Indians nearly matched the scoring by Rabun. Breelyn Wood led with 14 points, while Haygen James and Millie Holcomb were also in double figures with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Molly Mitchell had seven points and Allie Phasavang six in the loss.

The Lady Indians are now 6-10 overall and 0-3 in region play.

Meanwhile, the JV girls lost a 55-45 final. It was a low-scoring first quarter that had Rabun County up only 7-3. The Lady Indians were down 24-9 at the break and despite outscoring the visitors in the third, they couldn't get much closer.

Joanna Molodynska had a game-high 22 points, and was followed by Marian Nino's 12. Carla Guil had six, Tahj Charlton three, and Gracey Eller two.

The JV team is now 6-3 and 1-1 in region play.
