MS Indians close regular season with road win

The MS Indians rolled to a 63-26 road win at Blue Ridge on Thursday evening to bring the regular season to a close.

The lead was 27-14 at the end of the first half. A 24-7 third quarter by the Indians put the game out of reach down the stretch.

TFS saw nine different players contribute on the offensive end. Brantley Addison continued his dominance with 16 points and another double-double, and Asa Popham chipped in 16 as well. Lincoln Hicks had 14 and West Ridlehoover four. JT Head, Emmanuel Heyl, and Woods Irvin had three points apiece, while Noah Randall and Ethan Phasavang each had two.

Since coming back from Christmas break, the boys are 6-1 and playing the best team basketball they have all season.

"We are starting to click on all cylinders as we have moved down the stretch," says coach Nathan Stanley. "This team has a core group of leaders who are pushing these guys each day at practice and there is a higher level of accountability amongst the guys since the break. Playing selfless basketball is what we are contributing the success to. This team is exciting to watch right now!”

The boys close out the regular season 11-4 (9-2 in Tri-State) as they head into the playoffs next week.
